Pete Smack
Pete Smack is a clean comedian and writer based in Raleigh, N.C.
Standup comedy is his sixth career. The first five were: investment banker for Goldman Sachs; sportswriter for Sports Illustrated; comedy writer for TV/film; Co-Founder/COO of a tech startup; and tech startup publication Founding Editor. You know, that old drill.
Leaning on his experiences in and around startups, he financed his move to doing comedy fulltime by literally selling shares in his comedy career as if he was a startup. No, that’s not a joke. (See for yourself at wefunder.com/petesmack.)
Pete is available for corporate bookings, conferences, college career sessions, family events and anywhere else you want to enjoy some laughs. He’d be happy to show you the science on the benefits of laughter, but if you’ve read this far you already know all about that.
In his standup, Pete shares relatable stories about his family, aging parents, his varied careers, his daily 26-minute naps, and growing up short, all mixed with a touch of the absurd. And he does it all without getting in the gutter or insulting anyone besides himself.
Here’s how Pete Smack stacks up against some fellow comics.
